Stable product identity
The Zimplify SKU and UUID are stored with the Shopify product, while the Shopify UUID is stored back in Zimplify. This keeps the product relationship identifiable on both sides.
Zimplify connects Shopify to the same product, customer, stock and order processes used by the rest of your business. Product and ERP-specific fields can be mapped in the UI, stock changes are pushed per Shopify location, sales orders flow into the normal ERP process, and fulfillment is sent back after picking.
Shopify stays the storefront. Zimplify keeps the operational ERP process connected behind it.
When the integration is activated, Zimplify retrieves Shopify's built-in product fields and metafields. You define the ERP fields you need and connect them to Shopify fields directly in the Zimplify UI.
The Zimplify SKU and UUID are stored with the Shopify product, while the Shopify UUID is stored back in Zimplify. This keeps the product relationship identifiable on both sides.
Shopify title is typically linked to the Zimplify product name or short name. VAT class, category, description and other required fields or metafields can be synchronized as needed.
Field connections can be configured as import, export or bi-directional, depending on which system should own each piece of product data.
Shopify locations are linked to the corresponding ERP locations. Stock changes in Zimplify are actively pushed to Shopify so the webshop reflects the current ERP stock position.
Each Shopify location is linked to the correct Zimplify location before stock synchronization is activated.
Changes in Zimplify stock levels are actively pushed to Shopify instead of waiting for a separate manual export.
The webshop uses the same warehouse stock data as purchasing, deliveries, picking and the rest of the ERP flow.
Shopify customers are email-based, while a Zimplify partner represents a company. The integration links the two through Zimplify contact persons classified as webshop emails.
A single Zimplify partner can be linked to multiple Shopify email customers, allowing several buyers to belong to the same ERP customer company.
The company relationship is stored through a Shopify metafield, giving the integration a stable link between the webshop customer and the correct Zimplify partner.
Partners can be created in Zimplify and pushed to Shopify, or imported from Shopify when the required linking metafield already exists.
Orders are imported from Shopify into Zimplify as either draft or confirmed sales orders according to the ERP company setting. From there they use the same ERP logic as other orders.
Route data, discounts and other sales-order rules configured in Zimplify are applied normally after the Shopify order enters the ERP.
The free-text notes from the Shopify order are imported into Zimplify together with the order.
Updates made to the Shopify order are also sent to Zimplify, keeping the ERP aware of webshop-side order changes.
Once the order has been picked in Zimplify, fulfillment data is pushed back to Shopify. The webshop receives the fulfillment status and fulfilled quantity from the ERP.
Warehouse users handle the Shopify order through the same picking process used for other sales orders.
After picking, Zimplify sends the updated fulfillment status and fulfilled quantity back to Shopify.
The webshop order does not need its own separate warehouse process outside the ERP.
The integration is especially valuable when a company sells through Shopify while also handling retail EDI, wholesale customers, production, purchasing or 3PL logistics in the same ERP. Shopify becomes another connected sales channel rather than a separate operational island.
